Day Four

It seems like my trip in Bangkok is basically all about shopping for girls item that it. Unfortunately, Mister Faizul had to bear with it (you should have told us to let you stay-ca in the hotel while we are out). Today we are heading to Pratunam and Platinum Shopping Mall. Woots!!! And our host had told us, where he kept his big IKEA shopping bag which came in handy for today's' shopping expedition. Well as per Kade info, there is no way other than cabbing to the destination and we are off. :)

After whole morning of shopping or finding things to shop, we head back to apt and got ready to go Asiatique. The first ferry to Asiatique is at 16:40hrs. It's like a free shuttle from Chao Phraya River jetty to Asiatique. We dressed nicely as we going to see a performance which is famous in Bangkok called Calypso. Thanks to Kade thorough research, we are going for this! We've made booking online and secure our seats for 900 Baht/ person. Actual ticket price is 1,200 Baht. Our apt/hotel offering rate at 800 Baht. Well, usually in Singapore offers made in hotel usually higher as they would wanna make a profit; guess not in Bangkok. Tip: So ask before buying.

We have collected the tickets! Too excited!

We took the ferry to Asiatique and from afar you can see the Ferris wheel! And YES, like a kid I'm bloody excited. This Ferris wheel is as similar to the ones I rode in Australia Gold Coast. Calypso has two show timings 8.15pm or 9.45pm. We booked the ones at 8.15pm. Since, we reached early, it was time to fill our stomachs with food. We got mochis, teppoki, banana fries & dip, ice cream, etc. We eat junk food! Lol! There are so many shops selling stuffs cheaper than the ones in the city, can you believe it. And it's the only place that close late night latest 12MN - 3am. How cool is that! We spend our time riding the Ferris wheel cost 300 Baht for 5 rounds. And right beside the Ferris wheel, they have like go-kart but not exactly a go-kart. It's battery operated car whereby kids will ride it at Vivo City Singapore. Those kinds, and we, ADULTS can ride it! And for 10-15mins costs 250 Baht. I mean, common, you can't get it in Singapore (considered "dangerous" probably). HAHAHAHA!
